We're delighted to welcome author, speaker, and musician Glenna Marshall, writer and speaker Paola Barrera, and WE director Bethany Barendregt. Join us for fellowship, worship, and growth as we learn more about the gift of God's word, His presence with us, our identity in Christ, and what it means to live on mission for Him.

Glenna Marshall:

The Gift of God's Word- We Can Know Him - It's tempting to look at our life's circumstances and decide what's true about God, but we have been given all we need to know of Him in His unchanging Word. Rather than building our theology upon our experiences and perceptions, we must let God tell us who He is in the way He has chosen to do so.

The Gift of God's Presence: We Can Know He is With Us - We often go to the Scriptures looking for a promise that God will change our circumstances or remove us from suffering. But when we trace His faithful love to His people throughout the Bible, we see that His presence is the promise He gives, and His presence is the promise we need.

Bethany Barendregt:

The Word of Truth, the Gospel - The truth of the gospel cements our identity, equips us to answer the lies we're faced with, and defines how we live as Christian women.

Paola Barrera:

Whatever is True, Rooted in Eternal Perspective - Eternal perspective gives a right sense of self. Gaining that perspective starts with knowing Whose you are.

Full Conference Plan:

Friday 5:30 PM - 9 PM • check in/registration • fellowship supper • worship and keynote session by Glenna Marshall

Saturday: 9 AM - 3 PM • worship and keynote session • mid-morning brunch • keynote session • coffee break • keynote session, Q&A panel, and dismissal

Q: Can I bring my baby?

A: Yes, nursing infants are welcome to come with their mamas, and the nursing moms area will be available for mamas with fussy babies.

Q: Is childcare provided?

A: No, childcare is not provided.

Q: Can I reserve a table?

A: Yes, this is the first year we can reserve tables for tickets purchased in multiples of 8. (e.g. 8 tickets or 16 tickets, etc.) We will flag purchases of 8 tickets that come through and set those names aside for table reservations.

Q: Do you offer options for people with dietary restrictions?

A: Yes, our gluten free options and dairy free options will be marked and/or set aside for you at both the Friday supper and the Saturday brunch. Please let us know when you're purchasing your ticket, by marking which dietary concern you have.

Q: I'm from out of town. Are there nearby hotels I can stay at?

A: Yes, there are several hotels nearby, including The Redwood Inn, The Ramada, Days Inn , Holiday Inn Express, Pomeroy Hotel, and Best Western .

Q: What church is Women Encouraged affiliated with?

A: WE is made up of women from many different local churches. The women on the WE vision and planning teams go to Grande Prairie area churches, and we submit to the elders and pastors at our churches. We believe that the Church is Jesus' body and that being in regular attendance and involved in a local church is crucial for the spiritual health of believers in Jesus Christ. We encourage the women who attend WE events to connect to a faithful local body of believers.
